Pathway Partners Life Skills: Virtual Life Skills Training Across Texas

Personalized Support for Greater Independence
Pathway Partners Life Skills provides individualized, one-on-one life skills training for young adults and other individuals who need additional support building confidence, managing everyday responsibilities, and moving toward greater independence.
Our program is especially helpful for neurodivergent individuals, including people on the autism spectrum or those with ADHD, executive functioning challenges, anxiety, depression, or other mental health needs that may make everyday tasks more difficult.
Virtual life skills training is available throughout Texas. Participants can receive personalized support from the comfort of home, whether they live in Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Corpus Christi, West Texas, East Texas, the Rio Grande Valley, or another community across the state. In-person and telephone sessions may also be available based on location and individual needs.
Services are provided by Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) who understand how mental health symptoms, neurodivergence, and life transitions can affect motivation, organization, communication, relationships, decision-making, and independent living.

How Life Skills Training Can Help
Everyday tasks can feel overwhelming when someone is experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism-related needs, difficulty with executive functioning, or other mental health challenges.
A person may understand what needs to be done but struggle with getting started, staying organized, completing tasks, communicating their needs, or managing frustration when plans change. Others may need extra support adjusting to adulthood, starting a job, entering college, managing money, building relationships, or navigating healthcare and community systems.
Pathway Partners provides practical, individualized support that breaks larger goals into manageable steps. Participants work one-on-one with a QMHP to practice skills, develop routines, identify barriers, and create strategies that fit their learning style, strengths, and needs.
Life skills training can help participants:
- Build confidence in handling everyday responsibilities.
- Create routines that make daily tasks more manageable.
- Improve organization, planning, and time management.
- Strengthen communication and self-advocacy skills.
- Learn practical ways to cope with stress and frustration.
- Navigate social situations and relationships more confidently.
- Develop greater independence at home, school, work, and in the community.
- Connect with mental health, healthcare, and community resources.
- Turn long-term goals into realistic, achievable action steps.
Pathway Partners is not a one-size-fits-all program. Each participant receives support based on their individual goals, abilities, challenges, and vision for independence.

Individualized One-on-One Support From a QMHP
One of the most valuable features of Pathway Partners is that participants work directly with a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
Our Life Skills Coordinators bring experience supporting people affected by mental health symptoms, neurodivergence, developmental differences, and barriers to independent living. They understand that difficulty completing a task is not always caused by a lack of effort. Anxiety, depression, attention challenges, sensory needs, communication differences, and executive functioning difficulties can all affect everyday performance.
The QMHP helps identify barriers, adapt strategies, reinforce progress, and provide practical instruction that respects each participant’s strengths and learning style.
When appropriate and authorized, the Life Skills Coordinator may also collaborate with family members, therapists, case managers, healthcare providers, or other members of the participant’s support team.
A monthly progress report is provided to help measure milestones, recognize growth, and identify areas for continued development.
Affordable Life Skills Training: $55 Per Hour
Pathway Partners Life Skills services cost $55 per hour—less than the cost of most tutoring services.
For that rate, participants receive personalized, one-on-one support from a Qualified Mental Health Professional, not a general tutor. Sessions address practical life skills, mental health-related barriers, neurodivergent needs, executive functioning, communication, community navigation, and independent living goals.
